2/18/2024 0 Comments Sfo centurion lounge menusandwiches (that are NOT sealed/freshly made anywhere close to the UC or even SF lol). Just a bunch of snacks, microwave food, and. FWIW, the food at the UC in terminal 3 concourse F is gas station quality. How is the Centurion lounge SFO food superior to the Polaris lounge SFO food? Even the non-dining Polaris lounge SFO food was fine IME. *sighUnfortunately, Polaris lounge is not an option for domestic travel, even when open. Really hoping they reopen Polaris lounges soon. Now only great experiences with the folks at reception for Polaris lounges, but if not using the menu dining I find the Centurion Lounge superior for quality of food in SFO. Most of the time they are great but every so often you get someone and wonder why they choose to be in a customer facing role. I cannot make the same statement about UCs. I use the SFO, IAH and LAS lounges on a regular basis. They have only ever been pleasant and polite and helpful. I have never had a bad experience with any person at the reception area at a Centurion Lounge. ![]() Of course there are good restaurants in the international terminal that don't require a hike and IMO have much better food than either.Īlas as of today's date both the Polaris lounge is closed and the consensus is that it is unlikely to open before 2022. Amex is the place to go if you plan to drink. The American Express Centurion Lounge at LAS (Las Vegas) Seating in the Las Vegas Centurion Lounge is plentiful, with views of the runway. The lounge itself ties with the Las Vegas and San Francisco locations for having the best operating hours of 5 a.m. The food and drink selection is solid, and the restaurant dining really adds to the experience. The lounge gets crowded very frequently, so keep that in mind. It got busy as evening approached, but not crazy crowded like the Centurion. ![]() It’s a large space with great views, friendly staff, and a nice variety of seating. You can find plenty of opinions in the respective Amex and UA forums. The United Polaris Lounge SFO is definitely my favorite. Personally I prefer the UC but there are many who prefer Amex. But if you don't have PP (or have an Amex PP) then I would say it is a tossup between the UC and Amex Lounge. If you have a lot of time and want a decent free meal I would skip both lounges and use Priority Pass at the Giants Clubhouse restaurant in the F terminal (about 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace). There is also a UC in the F terminal but not worth the hike if the UC in G is open. This lounge has an open kitchen and a premium bar visitors can indulge in a variety of food and refreshing drinks, at no additional cost.Yes, quite a bit has changed in 4 years, but thankfully starting to ramp up again along with the crowds.įrom Terminal G you can clear security and then easily walk to the Amex lounge (<5 minutes) in the F terminal or the UC in Terminal G. The lounge presents an ambience where travelers can relax peacefully on comfortable seats.
